The Global & National Security Policy Institute (GNSPI) brings together global and national security-related courses, research, and programs at the University of New Mexico in a coherent whole under one umbrella to serve the entire institution—students and faculty—across its several campuses. The GNSPI mission is to improve security policy by educating thoughtful, ethical practitioners to navigate an uncertain security future and shaping the debate around pressing security issues in four focus areas: Critical & Emerging Technology Policy, National Security Strategy & Policy, Intelligence Studies, and Transnational Security Policy.
Our partnerships with New Mexico’s premier national laboratories provide the intellectual basis for understanding the threats to national security, particularly in technology and global “commons” (e.g., space, climate, food & water, and energy resources), and their role in international relations. Our graduates are educated in the consequences of the global diffusion of technology and communications. Our objective is to improve the nation’s capacity to make ethical policy judgements about what should be done, and about what should not be done. We intend to expand the thinking that defines the security needs of the United States and of the world.

Product Marketing Specialist Jobs in New Mexico: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a product marketing specialist in New Mexico?
Product marketing specialist roles in New Mexico do not require a state-issued license or certification. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications, combined with hands-on experience in product positioning or campaign execution. New Mexico's concentration of technology and defense employers, particularly in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho corridor, means candidates who understand regulated or government-adjacent industries carry a real advantage in local hiring.
How much do product marketing specialists make in New Mexico?
Product marketing specialists in New Mexico earn a median of about $61,950 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $41,600 for the lowest 10% to over $98,060 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire product marketing specialists in New Mexico?
Employers hiring product marketing specialists in New Mexico right now include University of New Mexico, Santa Fe Animal Shelter, and Southwest Womens Oncology/Optimum, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. New Mexico's defense, technology, and healthcare sectors consistently generate openings for specialists who can translate complex products into clear market messaging.
Which New Mexico cities have the most product marketing specialist jobs?
Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and New Mexico account for the largest share of product marketing specialist openings in New Mexico. Albuquerque drives the bulk of demand as the state's commercial and technology hub, home to major defense contractors, Intel's manufacturing campus, and a growing healthcare network, while Santa Fe and Rio Rancho contribute openings tied to government-adjacent firms and technology suppliers clustered in that metro area.
Are there remote product marketing specialist jobs in New Mexico?
Yes, and more than most fields. Product marketing is largely a desk-based, collaborative role that translates well to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 50% of product marketing specialist openings tied to New Mexico are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly this role has shifted away from required on-site presence. Strategic and content-focused responsibilities, such as messaging development and competitive research, are the functions most commonly performed remotely.
How can I get hired as a product marketing specialist in New Mexico with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a marketing coordinator or content marketing role at a New Mexico technology company or healthcare system, where you can build hands-on exposure to product launches and campaign execution. Employers like Presbyterian Healthcare Services and Albuquerque-based technology firms occasionally hire marketing associates for rotational or entry-level roles. A portfolio demonstrating go-to-market thinking, even from academic or freelance projects, and a Google Analytics or HubSpot certification meaningfully strengthens a candidate with limited professional experience.
Where can I find and apply to product marketing specialist jobs in New Mexico?
You can find and apply to product marketing specialist jobs in New Mexico on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your background and preferences, and apply directly to whichever positions fit.
