- Be the apparel consumer and sport expert
- Influence and execute the category direction
- Work with all necessary functions to deliver the category business objectives
- Contribute to and support the strategic category direction under the guidance of the line manager, with strong focus on market needs, trends, and business priorities.
- Manage the product creation process from brief through sell-in - partnering closely with Merchandising to deliver timely, relevant assortments that meet consumer and account demand.
- Develop deep expertise in key accounts, market trends, and competitors with direction from the line manager to support agile decision‑making on product ranges, distribution strategy, and retail pricing.
- Identify and respond to market opportunities through a fast-paced creation model, supporting accelerated product initiatives tied to events, key retail moments, and emerging commercial trends.
- Develop clear, actionable product briefs by translating business opportunities into consumer-focused direction for Design and Development teams, ensuring briefs are insight-led, commercially viable, and aligned to accelerated timelines.
- Analyze category business performance regularly with guidance and review from the line manager, identifying opportunities for range optimization, or quick‑response initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Sports Marketing, Merchandising, Design, Development, Materials, Costing, Planning and Business Units to drive alignment, maintain executional clarity, and ensure on-time delivery across key creation milestones.
- Maintain product creation systems and tools with a high level of accuracy, ensuring product information is updated, complete, and delivered on schedule across all key platforms (e.g., M-3).
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree, preferably in marketing/business /textile/fashion
- Minimum of 0-2 years Product Marketing experience with APP, FTW or ACC background
- Experience in trade, vertical retail business model or sales is helpful
- PC skills (MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel)

- At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday. The working location of this position is Portland, Oregon.
