Job Opportunity:
BHSI has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Product Specialist in Berxi. As an Associate Product Specialist on our Customer Support Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to both prospective and existing Berxi customers on the phone and through our digital channels. We’re looking for a problem solver who will advocate for our customers and brand. Furthermore, you will contribute directly to improving the Berxi experience by providing constant voice-of-the-customer and user experience feedback.
The team you will be a part of focuses on exceeding customer expectations and building our business. We don’t obsess over metrics. Instead, we focus on doing the right thing and doing right by our customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop an expertise in small commercial insurance, including but not limited to, small business liability insurance products (including general liability, professional liability, and malpractice).
- Educate and support our customers and prospects through a variety of channels, including voice, email, and chat based on their needs.
- Drive on-going customer experience improvements by continuously surfacing customer feedback and advocating for operational enhancements.
- Understand, create, and distribute regulatory notices.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Self-starter who is comfortable operating with some ambiguity in their day-to-day.
- Passion for leveraging technology to deliver a better insurance experience to our customers.
- Positive attitude and willingness to receive and incorporate feedback.
- Excitement to learn, understand, and explain insurance concepts and products.
- Problem solver who is an advocate for our prospects, customers, and the Berxi brand, with a strong attention to detail.
- Impeccable organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities at the same time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptability to varying customer personality types and situations.
- Energized by being a part of a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Some experience in customer-facing role is required. Insurance sales or agency experience a plus.
- Comfort interacting with all teammates, including senior management.
- An active Property & Casualty License in at least one state is preferred. Without one, a candidate must be willing to study and pass all exams to earn an active Property & Casualty License (fully sponsored and supported by BHSI).
- Must be able to work one of the following shifts: 8AM-5PM, 9AM-6PM, 10AM-7PM or 11AM-8PM EST.
- This is a full-time in office position located in Downtown Boston, MA.

The base salary range for this position in Boston is $50,000 to $55,000, along with annual bonus eligibility. Total compensation for a candidate is determined by their relevant skills, location, and experience.
