The School of Rehabilitation Sciences & Technology (RS&T) offers programs in Occupational Therapy, Assistive Technology and Accessible Design, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Communication Sciences & Disorders, Performance Psychology, Rehabilitation Science, and Therapeutic Recreation.

Occupational Therapy Science and Technology Programs (OTST)

The Occupational Therapy Science and Technology Programs (OTST) are consistently ranked among the best in the nation . Our mission in the UWM entry-level MSOT degree program is to cultivate evidence-based occupational therapy practitioners who grow as innovators, scholars, and lifelong learners to promote health and occupational freedom. We strive to remove barriers to learning by embracing best practices in education which include fostering relationships, building community, engaging through caring and connection, and providing hands-on learning experiences. Together, we seek to awaken the inner spirit, curiosity, and love of learning that resides within all people, recognizing it as central to human flourishing, health promotion, and the heart of occupational therapy.

• Master’s or doctoral degree in occupational therapy or a related field with a focus on mental health and psychosocial rehabilitation.

• Proven expertise in the subject areas for which you are applying to teach.

• Clinical experience in mental health occupational therapy and psychosocial rehabilitation practices.

• Demonstrated knowledge in community-based occupational therapy models.

Anticipated start date is August 2026.
