Program Development Manager Jobs in Jacksonville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a program development manager job in Jacksonville?
Focus your search on Jacksonville's largest hiring sectors: healthcare networks centered on the Southside and Riverside, defense and logistics firms near the Mayport and Blount Island corridors, and nonprofits concentrated downtown. Candidates who combine grant-writing or program evaluation experience with familiarity in one of those sectors stand out. Attending events through the Jacksonville Chamber or local professional associations also builds direct connections with hiring managers in this market.
Which companies hire program development managers in Jacksonville?
Employers hiring program development managers in Jacksonville right now include QXO, Restaurant Brands International, and FIS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Jacksonville's hiring pool is especially active among large health systems, government contractors, and established nonprofits that manage multi-year funded programs.
Are there remote program development manager jobs in Jacksonville?
Yes, though availability depends on the role's focus. Program development managers who work primarily on strategy, grant management, or curriculum design tend to have stronger remote options than those overseeing on-site service delivery. About 0% of program development manager openings tied to Jacksonville are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, with fully remote positions most common in nonprofit and education-adjacent organizations.
How can I get a program development manager job in Jacksonville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Jacksonville is through program coordinator or program associate roles at local nonprofits, community health organizations, or workforce development agencies downtown. Many Jacksonville employers promote from within, so starting in a coordinator role while building experience in grant reporting, stakeholder communication, or curriculum support positions you well for a manager opening. Volunteering with Jacksonville-area United Way affiliates or Boys and Girls Clubs can also provide portfolio-building experience.
Which industries hire the most program development managers in Jacksonville?
Jacksonville program development manager roles concentrate in Insurance and Food & Beverage, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Jacksonville's large military presence, major health systems like Baptist Health and UF Health, and a dense nonprofit corridor downtown all sustain consistent demand for program development professionals across those sectors.
