Project Coordinator Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project coordinator job in Atlanta?
Focus your search on Atlanta's largest hiring sectors: construction and real estate development, healthcare systems, enterprise technology, and supply chain and logistics firms clustered around the airport corridor and Central Perimeter. Candidates with PMP certification or Agile exposure stand out in the tech-heavy Midtown and Buckhead markets. Tailoring your resume to reflect specific deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder coordination gives you a concrete edge over generalist applicants.
Which companies hire project coordinators in Atlanta?
Atlanta project coordinator roles are posted by Burns & McDonnell, Capgemini, and The Home Depot and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, major health systems, and large general contractors creates consistent demand across both corporate and field-based project coordinator positions.
Are there remote project coordinator jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role type: desk-based coordinators supporting software or marketing projects work remotely far more often than those tied to construction sites or clinical operations. About 15% of project coordinator openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with the strongest remote options concentrated in technology and professional services firms based in Midtown.
How can I get a project coordinator job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is targeting project coordinator associate or project assistant roles at mid-size construction and development firms, large health systems like Emory Healthcare or Northside Hospital, or the city's growing roster of SaaS and fintech companies that regularly onboard junior coordinators. Lateral moves from administrative, operations, or scheduling roles at these same employer types open doors quickly. Earning a CAPM or completing a Google Project Management certificate noticeably strengthens entry-level applications in this market.
Which industries hire the most project coordinators in Atlanta?
The sectors hiring the most project coordinators in Atlanta are Construction & Real Estate, Consulting & Professional Services, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Atlanta's role as a regional hub for construction development, healthcare delivery, and corporate technology operations drives sustained hiring across all three sectors year-round.
