We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. In this role, you will work closely with project managers to coordinate documentation, track progress and ensure quality, safety and schedule goals are met. This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in project management while contributing to high-quality, complex commercial builds.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in daily operations, ensuring effective implementation of project plans.
- Conduct weekly site visits to monitor construction progress and enforce quality standards.
- Engage in negotiations for subcontractor and vendor pricing to optimize project costs.
- Manage project schedules, documentation, and ensure all compliance with industry standards.
- Handle RFI submissions and track submittals, maintaining clear and effective communication across project teams.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or related field
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and construction software such as Procore and Primavera is highly recommended.
- Industry experience is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
