About AG Floors
AG Floors is a growing hardwood flooring company serving the DC Metro area, including Montgomery County, Prince George's County, DC, and Northern Virginia. We handle installation, refinishing, and repair for residential and commercial clients, and we're expanding our team to keep pace with demand.
The Role
We're looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) Project Manager & Estimator to run the day-to-day of multiple active jobs, serve as the main point of contact for our customers, and put together accurate estimates for new work. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role — you'll be the person tying our crews, our sales reps, and our customers together on every project.
What You'll Do
- Manage 5+ concurrent flooring projects from kickoff to completion — scheduling crews, tracking timelines, and keeping jobs on budget
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the life of the project, from initial site visit through final walkthrough
- Prepare estimates for installation, refinishing, and repair jobs — measuring, assessing scope, and pricing work accurately
- Coordinate with subcontractor crews to confirm schedules, materials, and job-site readiness
- Communicate in Spanish and English with customers and crew members as needed, ensuring nothing gets lost in translation
- Track project status and flag issues (delays, change orders, material problems) before they become bigger problems
- Support sales reps by scoping jobs accurately and handing off clean, well-documented estimates
- Resolve on-site issues as they come up — customer concerns, scheduling conflicts, unexpected repair needs
What We're Looking For
- Fluent in Spanish and English (required) — you'll use both daily with crews and customers
- Experience in project management, construction management, or a related field (flooring experience is a plus, but not required if you're a fast learner)
- Comfortable juggling multiple active projects at once without dropping the ball
- Strong communication skills — you're the calm, clear voice customers hear when something needs explaining
- Basic estimating skills (measurements, material takeoffs, pricing) or willingness to learn our process quickly
- Organized and detail-oriented; comfortable with scheduling tools and keeping records straight
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (you'll be visiting job sites regularly)
- Professional, customer-facing demeanor — you represent AG Floors when you're on-site
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with hardwood flooring installation, refinishing, or repair
- Familiarity with estimating software or CRM/scheduling tools
- Experience managing subcontractor crews
Why AG Floors
- Be a key part of a growing local business with real room to take on more responsibility
- Work directly with ownership — this isn't a role where you disappear into a big corporate structure
- Variety of projects across some of the best neighborhoods in the DMV
Pay: $67,019.22 - $75,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Cell phone reimbursement
- Company truck
- Fuel card
- Paid time off
Work Location: In person

Project Lead Jobs in Rockville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project lead job in Rockville?
Focus your search on the government contracting firms and federal IT services companies that cluster along the I-270 Corridor and around Rockville Town Center, since those employers represent the largest share of project lead openings in the city. Life sciences companies tied to the NIH campus nearby and healthcare organizations also hire steadily. Candidates with PMP certification, federal contracting experience, or familiarity with regulated-industry delivery frameworks have a clear edge in Rockville's market.
Which companies hire project leads in Rockville?
Rockville project lead roles are posted by X-Energy, Apex Companies, and James G. Davis Construction and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Rockville's hiring mix skews toward government contractors, biotech and pharmaceutical firms, and regional health systems, so many openings require experience in compliance-driven or federally regulated environments.
Are there remote project lead jobs in Rockville?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the type of work, since roles tied to federal contracts or laboratory operations tend to require on-site presence while IT and software delivery roles are more remote-friendly. About 38% of project lead openings tied to Rockville are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the most flexibility found in technology and back-office program management roles rather than hands-on site or lab positions.
How can I get a project lead job in Rockville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Rockville is moving into a project coordinator or program analyst role at one of the many mid-size government contractors or healthcare organizations in the area, where structured teams often promote from within. Entry-level candidates who hold or are actively pursuing a PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification stand out in Rockville's compliance-focused hiring environment. Lateral moves from technical or analyst roles within a contracting or biotech firm are also a common local pathway.
Which industries hire the most project leads in Rockville?
Rockville project lead roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Science & Research, and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Rockville's position along the I-270 biotech and federal corridor, combined with its proximity to NIH and a dense network of defense and civilian agency contractors, makes those sectors the dominant drivers of local project lead demand.
