EMERGENCY MEDICINE (IN-EMER-IUINA)
Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Provides project management support for a novel statewide initiative to improve Obstetric Emergency Readiness in rural hospital Emergency Departments across Indiana.
- Responsible for outreach, relationship-building, coordination of readiness activities, and operational support to help rural ED teams strengthen their ability to recognize, stabilize, and initiate evidence-informed care for obstetric emergencies.
- Serves as a key liaison among participating hospitals, clinical subject matter experts, and program leadership.
- Partners closely with a multidisciplinary leadership team (including Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Emergency Medicine collaborators).
General Responsibilities
- Manages large projects of the most complex nature, from start to finish, ensuring on time completion within budget.
- Analyzes, tracks, forecasts, and reports on project metrics and shortfalls.
- Communicates ongoing changes in tasks, goals, or performance; supervises and trains project staff as needed.
- Develops and maintains project schedules, goals, and communication.
- Matrix manages teams to develop, evaluate, and revise project processes.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure that project objectives are achieved within established time frames.
- Participates in client meetings, contract finalization, and development of requirements and specifications.
- Provides guidance and support to less experienced peers.
Qualifications
Education
Required
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
Preferred
- Master's degree in relevant field.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
- 5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred
- Experience working with hospitals, emergency departments, maternal health programs, or rural health initiatives.
- Clinical background (RN/EMT/paramedic/health professional) is a plus but not required.

- Experience with data collection tools (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics, SharePoint lists) and basic data reporting.
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
