Overview

Join a high-performing construction safety team supporting a major project in the McClellan area. This role is ideal for experienced construction safety professionals who thrive in fast-paced, multi-trade environments and are confident enforcing OSHA 1926 standards in the field.

As a Construction Safety Manager, you will work alongside a top-tier general contractor to drive safety performance, ensure compliance, and proactively mitigate risk across all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily site safety inspections across multiple trades to identify hazards and enforce OSHA 1926 compliance.
• Lead incident prevention efforts through hazard analysis, jobsite observations, and corrective action implementation.
• Partner with superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors to integrate safety into daily operations.
• Conduct site orientations, toolbox talks, and task-specific safety training.
• Maintain accurate documentation including audits, incident reports, and safety metrics using Procore or similar systems.
• Monitor high-risk activities including fall protection, scaffolding, excavation, and crane operations.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

• 5+ years of construction safety experience (OSHA 1926 required — general industry alone will not be considered)
• Strong working knowledge of fall protection, excavation, scaffolding, and high-risk construction activities
• Experience working on large-scale, multi-employer construction sites
• OSHA 30 (minimum) – CAL/OSHA, OSHA 500 or CHST preferred
• Ability to work 50–60+ hours/week in an active construction environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to enforce safety expectations on-site

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on aviation, infrastructure, or large commercial construction projects
• Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management platforms
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $50–$55/hour (based on experience)
• 1099 Contract
• Overtime: 1.5x over 40 hours
• Typical schedule: 50+ hours/week
• Per diem: NOT CURRENTLY OFFERED

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

License/Certification:
