Mid Level Provider Relations Specialist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level provider relations specialist job?
Position your experience around ownership and measurable outcomes. Highlight situations where you resolved provider disputes, managed contract renewals, or improved credentialing workflows without heavy supervision. Tailor your resume to show you can coordinate across departments, communicate with clinical and administrative stakeholders, and handle a full provider portfolio. Specific accomplishments, such as reducing provider onboarding time or improving network retention rates, carry more weight than general responsibilities.
Which companies hire mid level provider relations specialists?
Companies hiring mid level provider relations specialists right now include Independent Living Systems, Emory Healthcare, and Northern Light Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring is driven by health plans, managed care organizations, hospital networks, and third-party administrators that need experienced professionals to manage provider relationships with limited oversight.
Are there remote mid level provider relations specialist jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and region. About 67% of mid level provider relations specialist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of provider outreach, contract management, and credentialing coordination has moved to digital workflows. Fully on-site roles still exist, particularly at health systems requiring in-person provider visits or facility-based coordination.
How do I move up to a mid level provider relations specialist role?
Growth from entry level to mid level comes from deepening your knowledge of provider contracting, credentialing, and network compliance, then demonstrating that you can handle those responsibilities independently. Taking ownership of a provider segment, leading a process improvement initiative, or cross-training in adjacent functions like claims or network analytics all signal readiness. Documenting your impact with concrete metrics strengthens the case when you pursue a step up.
