Overview:
USU is currently hiring non-benefited teachers to provide clinical instruction to USU nursing students beginning August 1st 2026.
ACA Variable Position, US Work Authorization is Required.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of student with measurable objectives for each clinical course taught.
- Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in clinical and/or simulation lab settings.
- Evaluates learning.
- Maintains and submits student evaluations and records.
- Counsels students as needed.
- Assists nursing program in maintaining an effective program.
- Maintains safe clinical conditions.
- Travel to health care facilities in Salt Lake City and Tooele.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a BSN degree; MSN degree or enrolled in a BSN or MSN program.
- Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Utah (or eligible to obtain Utah licensure).
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

$30-$40/hour

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
