Who's Hiring

Public Relations Intern Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a public relations intern job in Dallas?
Start by targeting the sectors driving the most intern hiring in Dallas: healthcare systems, real estate developers, sports and entertainment organizations, and the advertising and PR agencies concentrated in Uptown and the Design District. Candidates who can show writing samples, social media content, or event support experience stand out. Networking through Dallas Ad League events or journalism programs at SMU and UT Dallas also opens doors that online applications alone do not.
Which companies hire public relations interns in Dallas?
Companies currently hiring public relations interns in Dallas include TruePoint Communications, Topgolf, and Highwire, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Dallas draws a mix of large corporate communications departments, regional PR agencies, and nonprofits, all of which regularly bring on interns to support media outreach, content creation, and community engagement campaigns.
Are there remote public relations intern jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though public relations intern work is less remote-friendly than purely analytical roles because media relations, event support, and client meetings often require in-person presence. About 100% of public relations intern openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with hybrid schedules most common at larger corporate employers in the Central Business District. Research, writing, and social media monitoring tasks are the duties most frequently done off-site.
How can I get a public relations intern job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is through campus-linked programs and small-to-midsize PR agencies in Uptown that regularly onboard entry-level interns. Nonprofit organizations and arts institutions in the Arts District are also strong starting points because they prioritize enthusiasm and writing ability over a long resume. Build a short portfolio of press releases, social posts, or event recaps, even from student or volunteer projects, and you will be competitive for most Dallas entry-level openings.
