We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician with a background in metal manufacturing, machining, or fabrication. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience inspecting metal components, reading blueprints, and using precision measuring equipment to ensure products meet quality standards.
This is a metal manufacturing position, NOT pharmaceutical or laboratory QA.
Job Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished metal components for quality and accuracy.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections of machined, fabricated, welded, and assembled metal parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, weld quality, and overall workmanship.
- Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials or products.
- Work closely with production, machining, welding, and fabrication teams to resolve quality issues.
- Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous quality inspection or QA experience in a metal fabrication, machining, welding, or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong blueprint reading and dimensional inspection skills.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Understanding of manufacturing tolerances and quality standards.
- Familiarity with GD&T preferred.
- Experience inspecting welds, sheet metal, machined parts, or fabricated assemblies is a plus.
- CMM experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate quality issues effectively.
- Ability to work independently and alongside production teams.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
