Quality Assurance Intern Jobs in Raleigh: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a quality assurance intern job in Raleigh?
Target Raleigh's life sciences corridor along Davis Drive and the Research Triangle Park area first, where biotech and medical device firms run structured QA internship programs each spring and summer. Software companies clustered in North Hills and downtown Raleigh also hire QA interns, especially those with hands-on testing experience or coursework in computer science. Candidates who can point to documented bug reports, test cases, or lab quality work stand out in this market.
Which companies hire quality assurance interns in Raleigh?
Employers hiring quality assurance interns in Raleigh right now include Food Lion, Linxon, and Truist, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Raleigh's mix of research-driven biotech firms, enterprise software companies, and contract manufacturers means openings appear across a wide range of employer sizes and sectors.
Are there remote quality assurance intern jobs in Raleigh?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the type of QA work. About 75% of quality assurance intern openings tied to Raleigh are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with the majority of those concentrated in software and data quality roles rather than lab or hardware testing positions. Raleigh's strong software sector means analytical and automation-focused QA interns have the best shot at flexible arrangements.
How can I get a quality assurance intern job in Raleigh with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Raleigh is targeting smaller software firms and startups in the downtown Glenwood South and Warehouse District areas, which often hire interns willing to learn QA fundamentals on the job. NC State and UNC affiliates in the Triangle also run co-op and intern programs through their research labs that accept candidates with limited prior experience. Building a short portfolio of sample test plans or scripts, even from personal projects, meaningfully strengthens an application with these employer types.
