Quality Assurance Specialist Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a quality assurance specialist in Florida?
Most quality assurance specialist roles in Florida require a bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related field, though associates with strong technical backgrounds are hired for some manufacturing and food safety roles. Florida does not issue a state license specific to quality assurance, but employers in regulated industries expect familiarity with FDA quality system regulations, and credentials from the American Society for Quality carry significant weight in the Florida hiring market.
Which companies hire quality assurance specialists in Florida?
Employers hiring quality assurance specialists in Florida right now include Publix, Hilton Grand Vacations, and Parsons, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's concentration of aerospace contractors, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and large food retailers means quality assurance roles appear across a wide range of industries and company sizes throughout the state.
Which Florida cities have the most quality assurance specialist jobs?
Tampa, Jacksonville, and Miami have the most quality assurance specialist openings in Florida. Miami leads because of its dense pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device sector, Tampa draws demand from defense contractors and food manufacturers along its industrial corridor, and Orlando's aerospace and health tech employers generate consistent openings across quality and compliance functions.
Are there remote quality assurance specialist jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based roles because quality assurance often requires direct product inspection, lab access, or on-site process observation. About 25% of quality assurance specialist openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026. The sub-specialties most likely to offer remote flexibility are software QA, documentation review, regulatory affairs, and supplier audit coordination.
How can I get hired as a quality assurance specialist in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is targeting quality technician or quality control inspector roles at Florida manufacturers, where on-the-job exposure to inspection processes and quality systems translates into a QA specialist title within a few years. Large Florida food producers and medical device companies regularly bring in candidates from adjacent roles like production supervisor or lab technician. Earning an ASQ Certified Quality Process Analyst credential before applying strengthens any entry-level application and signals commitment to the field.
Where can I find and apply to quality assurance specialist jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to quality assurance specialist jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated in real time. Find roles that match your experience level and preferred location, then apply directly to the employer from the listing.
