Quality Auditor Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a quality auditor in New York?
Becoming a quality auditor in New York typically starts with a bachelor's degree in a life sciences, engineering, chemistry, or a closely related field, since the state's dominant employers in pharmaceuticals and medical devices require that foundation. New York does not issue a state-specific license for quality auditors, but the ASQ Certified Quality Auditor credential is widely treated as the professional standard by employers in the region, and many New York job listings list it as preferred or required.
Which companies hire quality auditors in New York?
Employers hiring quality auditors in New York right now include VNS Health, Mace, and Steuben Foods, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical device companies, and regulated food producers on Long Island and in the Hudson Valley makes it one of the more consistent markets in the country for quality and compliance roles.
Which New York cities have the most quality auditor jobs?
The cities with the most quality auditor openings in New York are New York, Elma, and Manhattan. New York City anchors hiring in financial services quality compliance and large pharma headquarters, while Long Island's dense biopharma and medical device manufacturing base drives consistent demand in markets like Hauppauge and Melville, and the Hudson Valley's Regeneron campus and supporting suppliers sustain a reliable pipeline of openings in that corridor.
Are there remote quality auditor jobs in New York?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based fields, since quality auditor work often requires hands-on facility walkthroughs, physical record inspection, and on-site supplier visits. About 20% of quality auditor openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026. The portions of the role most suited to remote work are documentation review, CAPA tracking, and audit report writing, which some New York employers permit off-site.
How can I get hired as a quality auditor in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a quality control technician or quality associate at one of Long Island's or the Hudson Valley's pharmaceutical manufacturers, since many run structured rotational programs or hire recent science graduates into junior roles with on-the-job audit exposure. Employers like Pfizer and Regeneron periodically post entry-level quality operations and compliance associate positions designed for candidates without audit history. Earning the ASQ Certified Quality Technician credential before applying gives a candidate a concrete edge over other entry-level applicants.
Where can I find and apply to quality auditor jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to quality auditor jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current New York openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and target location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
