Radiology Technologist Jobs in Orlando: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a radiology technologist job in Orlando?
Orlando's hiring concentrates in three places: the Medical City hub at Lake Nona, the Orlando Health network downtown, and AdventHealth's corridor along I-4. Hospital systems and freestanding imaging centers both hire regularly, but outpatient and specialty imaging clinics in the tourist corridor also run lean, year-round operations. Candidates with CT or MRI cross-training stand out, and flexibility for evening or weekend shifts speeds up offers.
Which companies hire radiology technologists in Orlando?
Employers hiring radiology technologists in Orlando right now include Orlando Health, AdventHealth Orlando, and AdventHealth Corporate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Orlando's market blends large nonprofit hospital networks with independent imaging centers and specialty practices tied to its research and medical tourism sectors.
Are there remote radiology technologist jobs in Orlando?
Yes, but only in a narrow slice of the field, since most radiology technologist work requires operating imaging equipment on-site with patients. About 0% of radiology technologist openings tied to Orlando are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, largely in teleradiology support, scheduling coordination, and quality assurance roles attached to Orlando's larger health systems.
How can I get a radiology technologist job in Orlando with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Orlando is through a clinical externship or new-grad program at Orlando Health or AdventHealth, both of which hire entry-level technologists directly from accredited programs. Freestanding urgent care imaging centers and orthopedic specialty clinics near Lake Nona also hire entry-level candidates willing to start with general radiography. Completing ARRT certification before applying and noting any clinical hours in Orlando facilities gives candidates a clear edge.
Which industries hire the most radiology technologists in Orlando?
The sectors hiring the most radiology technologists in Orlando are Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Orlando's rapid population growth, the Medical City research complex at Lake Nona, and a steady stream of medical tourism keep imaging demand elevated well beyond what a typical metro its size would sustain.
