American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role, requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT(R) certification in a Level III trauma center.
Details
- Level III trauma center Interventional Radiology department (no neuro cases)
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-4:00 PM on non-holidays
- Rotational on-call coverage required: 15-hour weeknight call beginning at 4:00 PM and 24-hour weekend/holiday call beginning at 7:00 AM
- Uses Epic charting system
- Requires maintaining a sterile field while scrubbed in for procedures
- Utilizes Philips fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required
- BLS and ARRT(R) certification required; ACLS and ARRT(VI) preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Skilled in Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, and Genitourinary Studies/Procedures
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a range of vascular and interventional procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, biopsies, thrombectomy, drain placements, and angiography
- Responsible for equipment setup, site prep, sterile technique, and infection control
- Scrubs are provided
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a different rate
- RTO must be submitted at time of application; time off requests after submission will not be accommodated
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- PA fingerprint clearance (Childline/FBI) is required and must be completed shortly after signing, which may involve travel
- A pass/fail competency exam is required for clearance, with a limited number of attempts allowed
