American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with 2+ years of experience and ARRT-R certification for a Level II Trauma hospital setting.
Details
- Works within the X-Ray department supporting Radiology/Cardiology imaging needs
- Patient population includes adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, PICU, NICU, ED, and OR settings
- Performs a wide range of X-ray procedures including abdomen, chest, upper and lower extremity, spine, pelvis, head, and trauma imaging
- Conducts fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, enema studies, and upper GI series
- Uses mobile/surgical imaging including C-arm and O-ARM procedures
- Equipment used includes GE, Philips, Siemens, and PACS systems
- Uses Epic for charting
- Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts: Sunday 0800-1800, Monday-Wednesday 0730-1800
- Requires holiday coverage and 3 call shifts per month
- Required to float as needed
Requirements
- ARRT-R and BLS certification required (BLS must be through American Heart Association)
- Wisconsin state license required if applicable
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Level II Trauma experience required; Level I Trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Skilled in radiation safety, infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, and contrast media administration

- Located at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and referral center ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- A telemetry exam is required prior to start, with strict passing criteria for adult and pediatric rhythm identification
- Up to three attempts allowed to pass the telemetry exam, with completion of a cardiac interpretation review course required after a second failed attempt
