Real Estate Jobs in Minneapolis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a real estate job in Minneapolis?
Focus on employers active in Minneapolis's commercial corridors and residential neighborhoods, including firms managing multifamily properties in Uptown, commercial assets downtown, and mixed-use developments along the Midtown Greenway. Candidates with experience in Minnesota's competitive residential market, familiarity with Twin Cities neighborhood dynamics, and connections through local associations like the Minneapolis Area REALTORS gain a clear edge over out-of-market applicants.
Which companies hire real estates in Minneapolis?
Minneapolis real estate roles are posted by Jobot, WeWork, and Wipfli and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market includes a mix of regional brokerage firms, commercial property management companies, and institutional investors with significant Minneapolis-area portfolios.
Are there remote real estate jobs in Minneapolis?
Yes, but with limits: hands-on roles like property management and leasing are almost entirely on-site, while desk-based functions such as real estate analysis, asset management, and transaction coordination can go remote. About 45% of real estate openings tied to Minneapolis are remote or hybrid as of July 2026. Analytical and back-office roles with downtown Minneapolis firms are the most likely to offer flexible arrangements.
How can I get a real estate job in Minneapolis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through property management or leasing coordinator roles, which Minneapolis multifamily landlords and commercial operators hire regularly without requiring prior industry experience. Local property management companies managing Uptown and Northeast Minneapolis apartment portfolios, as well as commercial firms in the downtown core, frequently bring on entry-level assistants and leasing agents who then move into broader real estate roles within one to two years.
Which industries hire the most real estates in Minneapolis?
The sectors hiring the most real estates in Minneapolis are Staffing & Recruiting and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Minneapolis's strong base of corporate headquarters, healthcare campuses, and a growing multifamily rental market drive consistent demand for real estate professionals across both commercial and residential functions.
