Regional Account Executive Jobs in New Mexico: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a regional account executive in New Mexico?
Most employers in New Mexico require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a closely related field along with several years of outside sales experience. No state-issued license is required for the role itself, though positions in regulated sectors such as insurance or financial services require the relevant New Mexico-issued license from the New Mexico Office of Superintendent of Insurance or the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority before you can sell those products.
How much do regional account executives make in New Mexico?
Regional account executives in New Mexico earn a median of about $61,320 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $37,010 for the lowest 10% to over $115,060 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire regional account executives in New Mexico?
New Mexico regional account executive roles are posted by WSP in the U.S., SLB, and Lumen and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. New Mexico's concentration of federal labs, healthcare systems, and technology services firms means hiring is consistent across both the public-sector supply chain and commercial markets throughout the year.
Which New Mexico cities have the most regional account executive jobs?
Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and New Mexico have the most regional account executive openings in New Mexico. Albuquerque dominates as the state's commercial center, anchored by major healthcare networks, technology firms, and government contractors, while Santa Fe draws roles tied to state government accounts and professional services, and Las Cruces reflects growth in border-region logistics and agricultural supply chains.
Are there remote regional account executive jobs in New Mexico?
Yes, and they are more common than in many other fields because account executive work is fundamentally communication-driven and portable. About 67% of regional account executive openings tied to New Mexico are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting employer flexibility for experienced reps who can manage territory relationships without a fixed office. Strategic account planning, pipeline management, and internal reporting are the functions most consistently performed remotely.
How can I get hired as a regional account executive in New Mexico with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a sales development representative or inside sales associate, roles that large New Mexico employers in technology and healthcare services use as a formal feeder into account executive positions. Presbyterian Healthcare Services and Lumen Technologies both run structured sales associate programs in New Mexico. Earning a Salesforce certification or completing a HubSpot sales credential signals CRM readiness and gives candidates without a full quota history a concrete, verifiable edge in the application process.
Where can I find and apply to regional account executive jobs in New Mexico?
