Description
American Traveler is seeking an ED Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a night shift position requiring active NBRC and BLS certifications.
Details
- Emergency Department setting at a main hospital campus
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Weekend shifts as needed
- May float to other facilities within the health system as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Active NBRC credential and BLS certification required at time of consideration
- Ohio RRT license required in hand; license required if applicable
- Preferred certifications include ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- 18 months of recent experience in the specialty preferred, ideally within the last 3 years
- One supervisory reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
- Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine (cotinine) screening required within 12 months of start and updated annually
- BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, with medical or religious exemptions only
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services within a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
- Facility is a smoke-free and nicotine-free campus with no exceptions
- Travelers are expected to work every other holiday
- All RTO requests must be discussed during the interview and communicated at time of consideration
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Assignments may be extended up to 18 consecutive months, after which a 6-month break from the health system is required
- Permanent or per diem employees must wait 1 year from their previous end date before returning to this health system
- Background check findings are reviewed by the facility, and any hits on a professional license are not accepted
- Travelers who complete a continuous year on contract or return in a subsequent calendar year may be required to complete annual hands-on competency training
