Rehabilitation Services Technician
Job Description
Overview

Location: West Hospital in Avon, IN
Shift: Full-time, Monday through Friday 9am-5:30pm
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA within 6 months of hire. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- Requires successful completion of the rehabilitation technician training program within 3 months of hire.
- 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Rehab experience preferred.
- Requires familiarity with patient lifting and handling procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Performs designated routine patient care tasks under the direct supervision of the clinician(s).
- Assists the clinician to provide safe mobility and positioning of the patient as needed.
- Maintains and cleans treatment areas and equipment.
- Participates in operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities as required.
- Participates in all infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
- Orders, distributes, and maintains designated and appropriate inventory of department related supplies.
- May perform scheduling, customer service and some clerical duties.
- Rehabilitation Technicians can transport medications to/from the patient treatment room for patient treatment.
