Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust database architectures, including relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Implement and manage database clustering, replication, backup, and recovery strategies to guarantee system resilience and data integrity.
- Optimize database performance through system tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies to improve system uptime and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, functions, and scripts using T-SQL, PL/SQL, Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, and other scripting languages for automation and data processing tasks.
- Manage data migration projects across different platforms or cloud databases while ensuring minimal downtime and data consistency.
- Monitor database health through technical troubleshooting support, performance tuning, and proactive maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable data models that meet business requirements while adhering to data management security standards.
- Support the development of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools such as SSIS for efficient data integration.
- Implement best practices for data management security to safeguard sensitive information against unauthorized access or breaches.
Requirements
