Remote Electrical Project Engineer Jobs

Role Overview

VIATechnik is seeking a Project Coordinator to serve as the central hub keeping our electrical construction projects organized and moving forward. This role handles administrative and project management tasks, supports in tracking project schedules, attend internal and client-facing meetings, and breaks down work to the appropriate engineering team. You'll support engineering teams by managing documentation and coordinating communication between internal engineers, clients, contractors, and vendors, ensuring projects stay on track, within scope, and within budget. This is a great fit for someone who wants hands-on exposure to coordinate MEP/electrical engineering projects run from kickoff to closeout.

What You'll Do

• Build a centralized documentation and tracking system across your assigned electrical projects, so meeting notes, RFIs, closeout files, and vendor submittals are logged in a consistent, searchable format within 48 hours of receipt.
• Screen incoming vendor product data and technical submittals against project specifications, catching missing information and formatting issues before they reach engineers and cutting down on submittals returned as incomplete.
• Track schedules and milestones across a portfolio of concurrent projects, and flag any timeline variance to the project manager within 24 hours instead of holding it for the next status meeting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for routine client and contractor communications, resolving non-technical questions yourself and routing technical ones to the right engineer without delay.
• Set up coordination meetings, help set up project timelines, join internal and client-facing calls, capture accurate notes and action items, and follow up until every item is closed.
• Build working proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD within your first six months, opening project models on your own, pulling the views engineers request, and flagging obvious clashes or omissions ahead of coordination meetings.
• Reprioritize daily across competing deadlines as urgent vendor issues and client requests come up.

You'd Be a Strong Fit If

• You have a PMP certification (strongly preferred)
• You have early-career experience in project coordination, administration, or a related support role, ideally at an architecture, engineering, or MEP firm, and you're the person your team relies on to know where every document and deadline stands.
• You have coordinated projects in construction, engineering, or a related technical field.
• You can keep several projects moving at once and still notice when a date or a missing spec sheet is about to become a problem.
• You communicate clearly with engineers, clients, and contractors, and you know which questions are yours to answer and which belong with an engineer.
• You're curious about BIM and want regular, hands-on time in Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, even if you're still building that skill set.

Compensation and featured benefits:

• The pay for this position is $75,000– $100,000, and the role is eligible for bonuses. The actual salary offer may be different as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, location, and experience
• Health insurance with the choice of five plan options. We cover 70-95% of premiums for VIATechies and 65% of the premiums for dependents (depending on the plan chosen)
