About DAAXIT
Founded in 2021, DAAXIT was built on more than 20 years of financial leadership experience in the construction industry. We saw firsthand that many construction and skilled trades businesses operate without the strategic financial guidance needed to grow sustainably and profitably.
DAAXIT exists to change that.
We provide fractional CFO services that bring financial clarity, improved profitability, and long term stability to construction businesses. Our mission is to empower business owners with the tools and insight they need to achieve financial confidence and freedom.
We are guided by our core values of accountability, education, transformation, profitability, and transparency. Teamwork, ownership, and client impact drive everything we do.
About the Role
As a Fractional Chief Financial Officer, you will serve as the strategic financial leader for multiple DAAXIT clients in the construction and skilled trades industries. This is not just a numbers role. You will act as a trusted advisor and coach, helping business owners understand their financials, make data driven decisions, and build stronger, more profitable companies.
This is a part time, fractional leadership role. Client assignments are structured to provide flexibility while maintaining high impact. Most clients require an average of 8 to 10 hours per month, with the opportunity to work with multiple clients depending on your desired workload.
This position is remote. Candidates must reside in Wisconsin, preferably in the southern half of the state to support clients in the Milwaukee and Madison areas. Occasional travel to client sites may be required, particularly at the start of a new client relationship.
Why This Role Is Different

You will have:
- A highly flexible schedule
- A manageable client load
- The ability to focus on advisory and strategy rather than internal corporate structures

Tips for Your Remote Financial Officer Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote financial officer openings from across the U.S. in one place. Search by role and apply directly to the ones that match your background before postings close. Remote roles at well-known companies fill fast.
Show your async communication skills upfront
Remote financial officers run reporting cycles, audits, and forecasting through written channels. Your resume and cover letter should demonstrate clear, precise written communication. Reference specific deliverables you produced and circulated without in-person collaboration.
Highlight cloud finance tools you use daily
Remote employers prioritize candidates fluent in NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, or similar cloud-based platforms. Name these tools where they appear in your actual experience, and specify what you used them to manage.
Prepare for a remote-format interview process
Remote financial officer interviews often include a technical case or financial modeling exercise submitted asynchronously. Practice presenting a budget variance analysis or cash flow summary in writing, not just verbally, since that mirrors how the role actually works.
Remote Financial Officer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote financial officer job?
Target companies that already run distributed finance teams, since they have built the infrastructure for remote financial oversight and are less likely to pull roles back on-site. Remote employers screen heavily for self-direction, clear written communication, and comfort with cloud-based financial systems like NetSuite or Sage Intacct. Demonstrating that you have managed reporting cycles, audits, or forecasting processes without in-person oversight gives you a concrete edge.
Which companies hire remote financial officers?
Employers currently hiring remote financial officers include Hospitable, ContinuServe, and AACTE, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Remote-first technology companies, distributed healthcare organizations, and fintech firms make up the largest share of these openings, since their teams are already structured to support finance leadership working outside a central office.
Can you get a remote financial officer job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level financial officer roles are harder to land because employers expect you to operate independently from day one without on-site mentorship. Smaller remote-first companies and startups are more likely to hire junior candidates into these roles. Showing a strong grasp of financial reporting software, completed coursework or certifications in accounting or finance, and any independent project work helps offset limited direct experience.
Do you need a degree for remote financial officer jobs?
Not always. Many remote employers weigh demonstrated financial management skills, relevant certifications like CPA or CFA, and a history of producing accurate reports and forecasts alongside or instead of a formal degree. Remote hiring processes often focus on practical assessments and portfolio evidence, so candidates who can show real results in budgeting, compliance, or financial analysis remain competitive without a four-year degree.
Which industries hire the most remote financial officers?
Remote financial officer roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors hire financial officers remotely because their teams are already distributed across multiple time zones, making centralized in-office finance leadership impractical.
