Employment Litigation Associate Attorney (Remote – California) | 3–7 Years
Employees First Labor Law (EFLL) is a California plaintiff-side employment, workers' compensation, and class action firm that represents employees and only employees. In ten years we've grown from a kitchen table into a statewide trial firm that has recovered more than $200 million for workers. We prepare every case as if it's going to trial, because we try them.
We're hiring a fully remote Employment Litigation Associate with 3–7 years of experience to join our employment and class action litigation team.
Compensation: $145,000.00–$300,000.00 base salary, plus performance bonuses tied to case results and trial work. Final pay depends on experience.
What You'll Do
From day one, you'll carry real responsibility on high-value single-plaintiff, PAGA, and class action cases, including:
- Drafting complaints, pleadings, and motions, including opposing summary judgment
- Propounding and responding to written discovery and handling discovery disputes
- Taking and defending depositions. Depositions drive our cases, and you'll take a lot of them.
- Preparing cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial
- Working directly with clients and witnesses
- Second-chairing trials, with a clear path to first chair
You'll work alongside experienced trial lawyers, including Super Lawyers–recognized trial counsel whose recent results include a $2 million jury verdict.

- Most depositions, hearings, and mediations happen virtually. Trials and some depositions or hearings require in-person attendance, with travel reimbursed.

- Active California Bar membership in good standing
- 3–7 years of civil litigation experience (employment law strongly preferred)
- Deposition experience; trial experience a plus

- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
