We are a startup working to address revenue shortages faced by outpatient physical therapy offices who serve Medicare patients.
Currently, we are building a minimum viable software product based on feedback that we have received from interviewing therapists and directors on how to best address this problem.
In order to move into the next phase of development, we will need to:
- begin testing this software with a small number of offices to validate the idea,
- get feedback for improving the software,
- and develop long term relationships that we can turn into customers.
We are currently looking for someone with connections to the physical therapy industry that can help us with this effort by providing the following:
- Introducing us to potential users (therapists, clinic owners, or directors)
- Facilitating product trials in outpatient clinics
This position is an ongoing, part-time basis. We are open to talking to anyone who think they might be able to support this project.

Tips for Your Remote Physical Therapy Technician Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote physical therapy technician openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly. Remote postings fill faster than on-site ones, so applying within the first few days of a listing going live makes a real difference.
Prove your async communication skills upfront
Remote physical therapy technician roles depend on clear written handoffs and documentation. Use your cover letter and any application materials to demonstrate concise, professional written communication, because that is exactly what distributed teams evaluate before inviting you to interview.
Highlight remote-ready telehealth tools you know
Call out specific platforms you have used, such as electronic health record systems, telehealth scheduling software, or virtual care coordination tools. Remote employers want to see that you can operate their tech stack without an in-person onboarding period.
Prepare for a fully virtual interview process
Remote physical therapy technician interviews often include a practical scenario where you walk through how you would handle patient scheduling, documentation, or a coordination task without in-person support. Practice explaining your decision-making process out loud and clearly before the call.
Remote Physical Therapy Technician Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote physical therapy technician job?
Target companies with distributed clinical operations teams, telehealth platforms, and digital rehabilitation programs, since those are the employers most likely to hire physical therapy technicians remotely. Remote hiring managers screen heavily for self-direction, clear written communication, and comfort with virtual care tools and documentation systems. Candidates who can show experience with remote patient scheduling, telehealth platforms, or async clinical coordination stand out from applicants with in-clinic experience only.
Which companies hire remote physical therapy technicians?
Companies hiring remote physical therapy technicians right now include Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Exitoso Staff, and Luna Physical Therapy, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Remote roles in this field tend to come from telehealth providers, digital health companies, and distributed rehabilitation networks that coordinate patient care and support services across multiple locations without requiring on-site presence.
Can you get a remote physical therapy technician job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level roles are harder to land because employers expect you to work independently from day one without in-person supervision. Telehealth support companies and digital health startups are more likely to consider candidates without direct experience. Showing familiarity with virtual care platforms, completing a physical therapy aide certification, or demonstrating strong written communication and organizational skills can open doors when hands-on experience is limited.
Do you need a degree for remote physical therapy technician jobs?
Not always. Many remote employers prioritize demonstrated skills, relevant certification, and real clinical or administrative experience over a formal degree for physical therapy technician roles. Certifications from recognized programs, hands-on experience with patient documentation systems, and proven ability to manage tasks independently in a remote environment often carry as much weight as a two-year or four-year credential with remote hiring teams.
