Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EMR), ensuring compliance with HIPAA and health regulation policies.
- Collaborate with families, primary care providers, schools, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and telehealth practices to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry, specializing in Adult and/or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Valid medical license to practice psychiatry in the applicable state(s).
- Proven experience working with children and adolescents in clinical settings, including outpatient or inpatient environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for pediatric populations.
- Strong knowledge of mental health counseling techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and crisis management strategies.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and behavioral health conditions.
- Familiarity with healthcare diagnosis codes, medical terminology, drug enforcement regulations (DEA), and health regulation policies related to telehealth services.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and data collection; understanding of HIPAA compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients’ families and multidisciplinary teams remotely.
- Post-residency experience in clinical psychiatry with exposure to outpatient services; inpatient experience is a plus.
- NJ or NY License is a must or willing to apply
- Flexible schedule - choose your own schedule from 7am - 10 pm EST (7 days a week), We require a minimum of 8 hours/week up to 40 plus hours if wanted.
