Tips for Your Remote Rehabilitation Psychologist Job Search
Tailor your CV to each setting
A VA hospital hiring panel weighs different competencies than an inpatient rehab unit. Highlight neuropsychological assessment experience for medical settings and behavior management protocols for community rehab programs. Generic psychology CVs rarely make the short list.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists rehabilitation psychologist openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Document your supervised hours precisely
Many postings require a specific number of hours in rehabilitation-focused supervision. List your internship and postdoctoral hours by setting and population served, not just total count, so hiring managers can verify fit against their state licensure and credentialing requirements immediately.
Name your assessment battery experience explicitly
Employers want to see which neuropsychological instruments you have administered, not just that you have testing experience. List tools like the RBANS, WAIS, and MoCA by name in your resume's skills section so your application clears automated screening systems.
Prepare interdisciplinary case examples for interviews
Rehabilitation psychology interviews almost always include a scenario question about collaborating with physiatrists, occupational therapists, or case managers. Prepare two or three specific cases where you contributed to an interdisciplinary team decision and be ready to walk through your clinical reasoning.
Negotiate start date around licensure timelines
If you are completing a postdoctoral fellowship, clarify your anticipated licensure date before accepting an offer. Some employers will hold a position for a few weeks while others require full licensure at start. Raising this early prevents last-minute complications on both sides.

Can you get a remote rehabilitation psychologist job with no experience?
Yes, but it is harder than an on-site role, because remote work expects you to operate independently from the start. Applying broadly to the roles that fit improves your odds.
