Simone’s Way2Go LLC | SW2G Consulting is recruiting on behalf of HUD, a Y Combinator-backed company building training data and evaluations for frontier AI agents.
HUD is seeking a Research Engineer to automate quality control for training data created through its infrastructure. You will develop systems that help the team assess, maintain, and improve data quality as demand grows.
What you’ll do
- Define and enforce quality standards for training data.
- Design experiments and metrics to evaluate agent outputs.
- Build dataset auditing systems using sampling strategies, validation pipelines, and feedback loops.
- Work with data vendors to diagnose agent failure modes and improve data-generation processes.
- Integrate quality-control findings into HUD’s infrastructure tools and vendor portal.
- Apply sound human judgment to quality decisions without relying heavily on LLMs.
What we’re looking for
- Proficiency with Python, Docker, and Linux.
- Experience building scalable data-validation pipelines or automated QA/QC systems.
- Experience with benchmarks, evaluations, and quality metrics.
- Strong judgment about what good data looks like and how to measure it.
- Curiosity, clear communication, and the ability to work independently in unfamiliar or unstructured domains.
Knowledge of statistics and early-stage startup experience are strong signals. Technical aptitude, learning potential, and demonstrated interest in data quality matter more than a specific number of years of experience.
Full-time position | $100,000–$200,000 per year
Relocation and visa support are available for strong candidates.
