ABOUT THE ROLE
Why this role is on the menu
Instacart’s Brand Partnerships team is at an inflection point. As we continue rapid expansion across our network of 1,500+ retail banners, the Mid-Market segment represents one of our highest-growth opportunities — and it needs a leader who can turn a team of early-career sellers into a high-performing, revenue-driving engine. We’re hiring a Sales Manager to build that team, own their development, and ensure CPG brands of all sizes see Instacart as an indispensable growth partner. This role sits at the intersection of people leadership, digital advertising, and the CPG eCommerce landscape, and the person who fills it will have a direct line of sight to double-digit year-over-year advertising revenue growth.
Responsibilities
What you’ll cook up in your first year
- A team that consistently hits quota — You’ll have inherited a team of ~6 Sales Associates/Sales Executives and built the coaching cadence, pipeline discipline, and performance culture that drives them to exceed quarterly targets.
- Measurable seller growth at every level — Through structured 1:1s, deal coaching, and individualized development plans, you’ll have moved early-career sellers meaningfully up the capability curve, with clear evidence in performance reviews and pipeline metrics.
- Stronger cross-functional execution — By partnering closely with Account Management, Measurement Science, Insights, Ad Ops, and Product, you’ll have reduced friction in the sales process and improved advertising performance and customer experience for brand partners.
- Scalable sales infrastructure — You’ll have identified gaps in process, collateral, and data-sharing and implemented improvements that make the entire team more efficient and effective — not just your own book of business.
- Double-digit revenue growth through strategic partnerships — You’ll have led and supported Joint Business Planning (JBP) and Upfront negotiations that drive meaningful year-over-year advertising revenue growth, with C-level client relationships that make Instacart a must-buy for brand partners.

Tips for Your Remote Sales Manager Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote sales manager openings from across the U.S. in one place. Search by role, find listings that match your experience level and industry, and apply directly before competition builds on newer postings.
Prove async leadership in your resume
Remote sales manager hiring focuses on candidates who can run pipeline reviews, coach reps, and report to leadership entirely through written and video channels. Call out CRM tools, Slack, and any async reporting you have managed to signal you can lead without being in the room.
Quantify remote team outcomes specifically
Showing that your distributed team hit quota or grew revenue tells a remote employer exactly what they need to know. Frame results around the team you managed, the region you covered, and the numbers you moved, not just your personal close rate.
Prepare for structured remote interview formats
Remote sales manager interviews often include a panel video call, a written case on territory planning, and a follow-up async task. Practice presenting pipeline strategy on screen and writing concise follow-up summaries, since remote employers evaluate how you communicate as much as what you know.
Target remote-first companies over hybrid postings
Remote-first firms have built their sales infrastructure around distributed management, so their onboarding, tooling, and expectations are calibrated for fully remote managers. Hybrid roles often expect occasional travel or regional presence, which narrows your true location flexibility from day one.
Remote Sales Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote sales manager job?
Target companies that are remote-first or run distributed sales teams, since they build hiring processes around candidates who can manage pipelines and coach reps without in-person oversight. Remote employers screen for written communication, comfort with async tools like Slack and CRM dashboards, and a demonstrated ability to hit targets independently. Showing a history of self-directed quota achievement gives you a clear edge.
Which companies hire remote sales managers?
Companies hiring remote sales managers right now include CVS Health, Ingersoll-Rand, and Siemens, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Remote-first SaaS companies, fintech platforms, and B2B services firms make up the bulk of hiring, since their distributed sales teams require managers who can lead and coach entirely through digital channels.
Can you get a remote sales manager job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level sales manager roles are harder to land because employers expect you to onboard reps and drive results without in-person support from day one. Early-career candidates do best targeting smaller remote-first startups, where the team is lean and growth creates management opportunity fast. Showing strong individual sales results, CRM proficiency, and comfort leading video calls can open the door.
Do you need a degree for remote sales manager jobs?
Not always. Remote employers hiring sales managers weigh demonstrated sales performance, quota history, and experience coaching or mentoring reps far more heavily than a specific degree. A consistent record of building pipeline, closing deals, and developing team members carries more weight in most remote hiring decisions than where or whether you studied.
Which industries hire the most remote sales managers?
Remote sales manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Manufacturing, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors rely on distributed sales teams selling to buyers across multiple regions, which makes the sales manager role inherently location-independent and well suited to full-time remote work.
