Tips for Your Remote Sales Manager Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote sales manager openings from across the U.S. in one place. Search by role, find listings that match your experience level and industry, and apply directly before competition builds on newer postings.
Prove async leadership in your resume
Remote sales manager hiring focuses on candidates who can run pipeline reviews, coach reps, and report to leadership entirely through written and video channels. Call out CRM tools, Slack, and any async reporting you have managed to signal you can lead without being in the room.
Quantify remote team outcomes specifically
Showing that your distributed team hit quota or grew revenue tells a remote employer exactly what they need to know. Frame results around the team you managed, the region you covered, and the numbers you moved, not just your personal close rate.
Prepare for structured remote interview formats
Remote sales manager interviews often include a panel video call, a written case on territory planning, and a follow-up async task. Practice presenting pipeline strategy on screen and writing concise follow-up summaries, since remote employers evaluate how you communicate as much as what you know.
Remote Sales Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote sales manager job?
Target companies that are remote-first or run distributed sales teams, since they build hiring processes around candidates who can manage pipelines and coach reps without in-person oversight. Remote employers screen for written communication, comfort with async tools like Slack and CRM dashboards, and a demonstrated ability to hit targets independently. Showing a history of self-directed quota achievement gives you a clear edge.
Which companies hire remote sales managers?

Remote-first SaaS companies, fintech platforms, and B2B services firms make up the bulk of hiring, since their distributed sales teams require managers who can lead and coach entirely through digital channels.
Can you get a remote sales manager job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level sales manager roles are harder to land because employers expect you to onboard reps and drive results without in-person support from day one. Early-career candidates do best targeting smaller remote-first startups, where the team is lean and growth creates management opportunity fast. Showing strong individual sales results, CRM proficiency, and comfort leading video calls can open the door.
Do you need a degree for remote sales manager jobs?
Not always. Remote employers hiring sales managers weigh demonstrated sales performance, quota history, and experience coaching or mentoring reps far more heavily than a specific degree. A consistent record of building pipeline, closing deals, and developing team members carries more weight in most remote hiring decisions than where or whether you studied.
Which industries hire the most remote sales managers?
