Engage senior leaders, including ELT stakeholders, to drive alignment, inform decision-making, and ensure transparency on progress, risks, and outcomes. Act as a clear point of accountability for progress and results.
- Technical & Solution Leadership: Provide informed direction on AI/ML and GenAI solutions to ensure fit-for-purpose design. Bridge strategy and execution by helping teams define use cases, select appropriate approaches/models, and ensure scalability and integration. Tips for Your Remote Solutions Director Job Search
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote solutions director openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly without sorting through mixed results.
Prove async communication in your application
Remote employers screen for written clarity before the first call. Your cover letter and any written responses should demonstrate the same structured, concise communication style you'd use managing a distributed pre-sales team.
Document remote collaboration tools you know
Call out specific platforms you've used to run remote demos, manage stakeholder reviews, or coordinate solutions engineers across time zones. CRM fluency, video conferencing, and project tracking tools all signal remote readiness to hiring managers.
Prepare for asynchronous interview stages
Many remote employers include a written case study, recorded video response, or async technical review before a live call. Treat each stage as a sample of how you'd operate day-to-day on a distributed team, not just a screening hurdle.
Remote Solutions Director Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote solutions director job?
Remote solutions director roles go to candidates who can demonstrate self-direction, strong written communication, and the ability to drive complex deals without in-person oversight. Remote employers screen heavily for async collaboration skills, comfort with tools like Slack and CRM platforms, and a proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across time zones. Candidates who document outcomes clearly and communicate proactively in writing consistently stand out.
Which companies hire remote solutions directors?
Remote solutions director roles are posted by Oscar Health, Epiq, and Oscar Management Corporation and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Remote-first SaaS companies, enterprise software firms, and distributed technology teams are among the most active employers for this role.
Can you get a remote solutions director job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry paths are narrower because employers expect you to work independently from day one without on-site mentorship. Smaller remote-first SaaS companies and startups are more open to candidates building toward the role. Showing strong async communication, ownership of past technical or client-facing projects, and familiarity with solutions engineering workflows can open the door when direct experience is limited.
Do you need a degree for remote solutions director jobs?
Not always. Remote employers hiring solutions directors weigh demonstrated results, technical fluency, and client-facing leadership experience heavily alongside formal credentials. Candidates who can show a history of closing complex deals, leading pre-sales teams, or delivering measurable business outcomes often advance without a traditional four-year degree, particularly at remote-first technology companies where output matters more than credentials.
Which industries hire the most remote solutions directors?
Remote solutions director roles concentrate in Insurance, Technology & Software, and Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors rely on distributed teams to serve enterprise clients across multiple regions, making the solutions director role a natural fit for remote work arrangements.
