Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment with at least 2 years of experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details
- 13-week assignment with day shift (4x12, 7:00-19:00) or night shift (4x12, 19:00-7:00) options
- Float between units required
- Weekend work required every other weekend per CBA
- Patient ratios based on hospital acuity
- No on-call requirements
- Work with adult critical care, emergency department, NICU, and pediatric patient populations
- Perform ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, high frequency jet ventilator, and high frequency oscillator
- Manage airway procedures including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
- Administer medications via nebulizer, MDI, and other delivery systems
- Care for patients with ARDS, aspiration, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, and COVID
- Support neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures including bubble CPAP and high-frequency ventilators
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- RRT certification required
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Experience with adult critical care, emergency department, NICU, and pediatrics preferred
- Skilled in arterial blood gas drawing and interpretation
- Experience with chest physiotherapy and pulmonary hygiene techniques
- Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
- License required if applicable
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

- Deliver respiratory therapy services across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams in critical care and emergency settings
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
