Are you a dynamic leader passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences? Our prestigious hotel is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee all operations of the Pembroke Restaurant, including the restaurant, bar, patio, and in-room dining services.
Position Overview:
As the General Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of food, beverage, and service quality. You will be pivotal in driving business growth, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a positive, results-oriented work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of Pembroke Restaurant and associated food & beverage outlets.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor restaurant staff; cultivate talent within the team.
- Organize pre-shift and departmental meetings to communicate specials, events, and guest feedback.
- Set and monitor weekly sales and performance goals, motivating the team to achieve targets.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels, equipment functionality, and strict cost controls.
- Collaborate with Executive Chef and Director of F&B to develop seasonal, trend-forward menus.
- Oversee cleanliness, sanitation, vendor relations, and staff grooming and uniform standards.
- Prioritize guest satisfaction by responding promptly and professionally to feedback.
- Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and food safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience managing high-volume food & beverage operations.
- Strong knowledge of food service standards, guest relations, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and develop service teams.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Ability to problem-solve, handle guest concerns with empathy, and provide constructive solutions.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle items up to 50 pounds during service.
