Entry Level Hotel Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level hotel manager job?
Entry level hotel manager roles typically look for candidates with a hospitality or business degree, front desk or food-and-beverage internship experience, and strong guest-service instincts. Employers at this level value demonstrated leadership in small settings, like supervising a shift or coordinating an event, over years of management tenure. Highlighting hands-on hospitality coursework, a property management system you have used, and any supervisory responsibility gives your application a clear edge.
Which companies hire entry level hotel managers?
Companies hiring entry level hotel managers right now include Encore Global, Hilton, and Sage Hospitality, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from full-service hotel brands, select-service chains, and independent boutique properties that run management trainee or assistant manager pipelines designed to develop candidates from the ground up.
Are there remote entry level hotel manager jobs?
Yes, though the majority of hotel manager roles are on-site by nature. About 0% of entry level hotel manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to cover reservation management, revenue coordination, or group sales functions that can be performed off-property. On-site assistant manager and management trainee roles remain the most common starting point at this level.
Are these new grad hotel manager jobs?
Yes, many of the listings here are new grad friendly, including roles posted for recent graduates, junior candidates, and applicants with little or no prior management experience. A new grad posting typically welcomes zero to two years of experience and accepts internships, practicum placements, or a strong hospitality portfolio in place of a full work history. Look for titles like management trainee, assistant manager, or front office supervisor as natural entry points.
Which industries hire the most entry level hotel managers?
Entry Level hotel manager roles concentrate in Hospitality & Tourism, Technology & Software, and Food & Beverage, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they operate high volumes of guest-facing properties that depend on structured management pipelines to fill supervisory gaps from within, making them reliable places to land a first role.
