Who's Hiring

Restaurant Jobs in Charleston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a restaurant job in Charleston?
Charleston's restaurant market is driven by its nationally recognized culinary scene, heavy tourism, and a dense cluster of independent fine-dining and chef-driven concepts downtown and along Upper King Street. Candidates with experience in high-volume or upscale-casual service stand out, but hotel food-and-beverage operations in the French Quarter and convention-adjacent properties also hire steadily. Showing familiarity with Southern hospitality standards and local sourcing culture gives applicants a clear edge here.
Which companies hire restaurants in Charleston?
Companies currently hiring restaurants in Charleston include BHC, Bojangles', and Cook Out Restaurants, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Charleston's hiring mix leans toward independent restaurant groups, boutique hotel food-and-beverage programs, and hospitality management companies anchored by the city's tourism economy.
Are there remote restaurant jobs in Charleston?
Yes, though remote opportunity is limited by nature for most restaurant roles, which require on-site presence for kitchen, service, and floor operations. About 0% of restaurant openings tied to Charleston are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with those positions skewing toward corporate support functions such as multi-unit management, training coordination, and marketing for larger restaurant groups.
How can I get a restaurant job in Charleston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Charleston is applying to high-volume casual and fast-casual concepts along Meeting Street and in the Mount Pleasant retail corridors, which hire frequently and train on the job. Hotel food-and-beverage outlets tied to Charleston's conference and tourism properties also bring on entry-level servers, bussers, and prep cooks regularly. Availability on weekends and during peak summer and festival seasons is the single biggest factor local managers cite when hiring without experience.
