Revenue Optimization Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a revenue optimization manager in New York?
The role has no New York state license or board registration requirement, so the path runs through education and experience. Most New York employers expect a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative discipline, and many competitive candidates hold an MBA from programs at schools like NYU Stern or Columbia Business School. Entry is typically through analyst or pricing specialist roles at hospitality groups, media companies, or financial services firms headquartered in the city.
Which companies hire revenue optimization managers in New York?
New York revenue optimization manager roles are posted by Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Lyft, and Foot Locker and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. New York's concentration of major financial institutions, global hospitality brands, and large media and e-commerce companies makes it one of the deepest hiring pools for this specialty in the country.
Which New York cities have the most revenue optimization manager jobs?
New York, Brighton, and Brooklyn have the most revenue optimization manager openings in New York. New York City drives the overwhelming share of demand thanks to its density of corporate headquarters in finance, media, and hospitality, while Buffalo and Albany see activity from regional healthcare systems, insurance carriers, and state-affiliated organizations that run internal revenue and pricing functions.
Are there remote revenue optimization manager jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields, given the desk-based, analytical nature of the work. About 71% of revenue optimization manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting strong employer acceptance of distributed work for pricing and yield strategy functions. The most remote-friendly sub-areas are subscription pricing, e-commerce yield analysis, and financial modeling roles that do not require frequent in-person stakeholder meetings.
How can I get hired as a revenue optimization manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a revenue analyst or pricing analyst role at a New York hospitality group, airline, or media company, then moving up as you build platform and modeling experience. Large New York employers in hospitality such as Hilton's regional offices and major hotel management companies regularly hire for revenue analyst positions that serve as a direct pipeline into manager roles. Building proficiency in tools like Duetto or IDeaS, and earning a certificate in revenue management from an industry association, strengthens a candidate's profile significantly.
