As a member of Semiconductor Robot Engineering team, the Robotic Application Engineer leads the activity of developing, testing and maintaining robotic products for semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities Include
- Respond to customer’s request on semiconductor robot application.
- Lead the activity of prototype design projects following project process. Provide guidance to mechanical design team, electrical team, software team and prototype team to complete robot application within committed timeline.
- Create CAD drawings, 3D models and engineering documents to meet customer’s expectations.
- Provide technical guidance on robot system issues.
- Provide field support on customer’s site, including domestic or oversea travels.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 4 year college degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Experience with 3D and 2D CAD software.
- Knowledge of automation system, including the theory of operation, key components, major failure mode.
- Knowledge of basic programming logic.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills – ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts in form of presentation.
- Be able to understand and implement new engineering concept in short period of time.
- Be able to manage multiple tasks/projects during same period of time.
- Knowledge of MS office (word, excel, power point).
Preferred Qualifications
- 1~5 year experience of engineering position in automation or semiconductor industry.
- Experience using AutoCAD software.
- Experience using NX software.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to carry, lift, push and pull objects weighing up to 25lbs and to bend, walk and stand with objects weighing up to 25Ibs.
- Ability to use common mechanical tools such as screw drivers, hex keys, torque wrenches.
