Who's Hiring

Roofing Jobs in Salt Lake City: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a roofing job in Salt Lake City?
The strongest hiring in Salt Lake City comes from residential roofing contractors serving newer subdivisions in the south end of the valley, commercial contractors working downtown and the Pearl District, and restoration companies handling hail and wind damage claims. Candidates who can demonstrate experience with steep-slope residential work, TPO or EPDM flat roofing, or insurance restoration estimates stand out most with local employers.
Which companies hire roofings in Salt Lake City?
Companies currently hiring roofings in Salt Lake City include Frontline Consultants & Contracting, AVODA, and StrongHouse, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market includes a mix of regional roofing contractors, national restoration franchises with Salt Lake City branches, and general contractors managing large commercial projects tied to the city's ongoing development.
Are there remote roofing jobs in Salt Lake City?
Remote work is uncommon in roofing since most roles require hands-on, on-site presence. About 43% of roofing openings tied to Salt Lake City are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, mostly in estimating, project coordination, and sales roles. In Salt Lake City, those remote-eligible positions tend to cluster with larger restoration companies and commercial roofing firms that handle multi-site projects across the region.
How can I get a roofing job in Salt Lake City with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Salt Lake City is joining a residential roofing crew as a laborer or helper, where employers in the Sugar House and Millcreek areas regularly bring on entry-level workers during busy seasons. Local restoration contractors also hire inexperienced candidates for material handling and cleanup roles that teach the trade on the job. Showing up reliably, being comfortable with heights, and having a valid driver's license all give new candidates a practical edge with Salt Lake City employers.
