Job Description
Conveyors & Equipment seeks an Industrial Mechanic. Play a part in keeping industry moving. If you are seeking a career in the industrial mechanical field, this is the perfect opportunity for you. For 50+ years we have served local industries including food processing, manufacturing, distribution, printing, recycling, and mining. Our specialty is conveyors and general material handling equipment. This job opportunity provides a wide variety of daily challenges and rewards as we provide service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment.
· Conveyor Belt Splicing is a plus.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
· Analyze equipment performance and make recommendations for improvements.
· Fabricate and install parts as needed.
· Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
· Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and meet deadlines.
· Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Skills:
· Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing industrial machinery.
· Knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
· Experience with field service work, including on-site repairs and installations.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
· Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
· Note: Industrial electrician experience is preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
· This position requires driving for the company. Our insurance has strict requirements. Good driving record and valid driver license (MVR will be required). Must meet company insurance requirements to be employed. Track record of dependability.
· Belt Splicing is a plus but not required.
· Millwright experience is a plus but not required.
· Mathematical ability and mechanical aptitude.
· Ability to solve problems, read drawings and written instructions.
· Written and verbal communication skills.
· Leadership and customer relations skills.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
· Self-motivated and embrace challenges and daily variety.
Compensation & Benefits:
