Sales Executive Jobs in Boston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales executive job in Boston?
The strongest path into a sales executive role in Boston is targeting the city's dominant sectors: life sciences and medtech around the Longwood Medical Area, enterprise software and SaaS firms in the Seaport, and financial services companies in the Financial District and Back Bay. Candidates who come in with existing relationships in one of those verticals, or who can point to measurable quota attainment in a related B2B role, tend to move fastest through local hiring processes.
Which companies hire sales executives in Boston?
Employers hiring sales executives in Boston right now include Owens & Minor, Paychex, and Amerita, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Boston's mix of established biotech and medtech firms, venture-backed SaaS companies, and regional financial institutions means hiring tends to spread across both large enterprise employers and fast-growing mid-market outfits.
Are there remote sales executive jobs in Boston?
Yes, though it depends on the role, enterprise and SaaS-focused sales executive positions offer more remote flexibility than roles tied to in-person relationship management or field sales. About 74% of sales executive openings tied to Boston are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the strongest remote options concentrated in software and technology companies headquartered in the Seaport and Cambridge corridors.
How can I get a sales executive job in Boston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Boston is landing a sales development representative or account executive role at one of the city's many growth-stage SaaS or medtech companies, which regularly hire candidates without deep experience and promote from within. Firms clustered in the Seaport and Kendall Square are especially known for structured sales training programs. Building familiarity with life sciences or fintech terminology gives entry-level candidates a clear edge in Boston's specialized market.
Which industries hire the most sales executives in Boston?
The sectors hiring the most sales executives in Boston are Technology & Software, Cybersecurity, and Accounting & Auditing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Boston's identity as a hub for biotech innovation, enterprise technology, and asset management means those industries consistently generate the largest volume of senior and mid-level sales roles in the city.
