Sales Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales job in Chicago?
Focus on Chicago's strongest hiring sectors: enterprise technology, financial services, healthcare, and commercial real estate. The Loop and River North are densest for B2B and SaaS sales roles, while the Merchandise Mart area draws wholesale and trade sales positions. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and familiarity with Chicago's professional networks tend to move faster through the hiring process here.
Which companies hire saless in Chicago?
Employers hiring saless in Chicago right now include AutoZone, Uber, and Google, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Chicago's market mixes global corporations headquartered downtown with fast-growing regional firms, giving candidates options across both enterprise and startup environments.
Are there remote sales jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on role type: inside sales and SaaS account management skew remote-friendly, while field sales and retail positions almost always require on-site presence. About 49% of sales openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader tech and financial sector flexibility. Inside sales and business development roles account for the largest share of those remote options locally.
How can I get a sales job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is a business development representative or sales development representative role at a technology or financial services firm in the Loop or River North, where structured training programs are common. Chicago's large insurance carriers, staffing agencies, and commercial real estate firms also hire entry-level candidates regularly. A strong grasp of CRM tools and any customer-facing experience, even in retail or hospitality, gives candidates a clear edge when applying locally.
Which industries hire the most saless in Chicago?
Most sales openings in Chicago sit in Technology & Software, Manufacturing, and Consulting & Professional Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Chicago's role as a major financial hub, combined with its deep concentration of healthcare systems and enterprise software companies, consistently drives those sectors to the top of local hiring demand.
