We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planning & SAP Business Process Lead to play a key role in an SAP R/3 to S/4HANA transformation. This position will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and implementation teams, translating operational requirements into scalable SAP-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate combines hands-on experience in Production Planning, MRP, Capacity Planning, Scheduling, and Manufacturing Operations with prior involvement in SAP implementations, testing, user adoption, and business process improvement initiatives.
Location: Remote (U.S.) with occasional travel. Candidates must reside in the Eastern Time Zone (ET).
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to understand business requirements and process challenges.
- Support SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives focused on Production Planning, Manufacturing Execution, and related operational processes.
- Facilitate requirements gathering, business process analysis, process mapping, and fit-gap assessments.
- Translate operational requirements into functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on solution design.
- Coordinate and support testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, and business validation.
- Develop training materials and support end-user training, adoption, and change management activities.
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement across manufacturing planning and operational workflows.
- Serve as a trusted liaison between business stakeholders and implementation partners throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Production Planning, Manufacturing Planning, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Scheduling, Operations, or related manufacturing functions.
- Experience working within SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, or comparable ERP environments.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, rollouts, or business transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Production Planning, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Capacity Planning, Production Scheduling, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning.
- Experience gathering business requirements and working directly with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP PP, PP/DS, Production Execution, Batch Management, or related manufacturing modules.
- Experience serving as a Business Process Lead, Master Planner, Production Planning Manager, Supply Planning Manager, S&OP Lead, Manufacturing Systems Analyst, SAP Business Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Training and Change Management, Process Mapping and Documentation, SOP Development, Cutover and Go-Live Activities.
- Prior experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Biotechnology, Medical Devices, Food & Beverage Manufacturing.
- Exposure to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), quality systems, or advanced planning solutions.
