You must be capable of defining equipment specifications and evaluating the merit of design changes. The ideal candidate brings experience working on end to end electro-mechanical product design and manufacturing.
This position requires approximately 30% travel to AWS offices, data centers, suppliers, vendors, and product validation sites. While most travel is domestic, some international travel may be required.
Open to hiring this position in Austin, Atlanta, Columbus, Northern Virginia or Seattle.

- Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, IEC and federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes across different countries through appropriate levels of testing.
- Validate design through prototype, pre-production and first-of-kind builds, conducting DFx and value engineering analysis through each step and updating design and documentation.
- Work with field engineering and commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical products.
- Ability to provide support for manufacturing activities for the new products on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
- Be a leader within the product development team as well as within internal and external teams that support the data center.

Senior Product Design Manager Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior product design manager in Washington?
Reaching this level in Washington typically requires a foundation in interaction design or a related field followed by progressive leadership experience inside a technology organization. Washington employers, particularly in the Seattle-Bellevue corridor, expect candidates to have led design teams, shaped design systems, and contributed to product strategy at a company of meaningful scale. No state-issued license applies to this role, but a strong portfolio demonstrating both craft and leadership judgment is the single most important credential.
Which companies hire senior product design managers in Washington?
Employers hiring senior product design managers in Washington right now include DoorDash, T-Mobile, and ProVation, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Washington's concentration of global technology headquarters means many of these openings sit inside large, multi-product organizations where design leaders oversee entire platform experiences rather than single features.
Which Washington cities have the most senior product design manager jobs?
Seattle and Bellevue account for the largest share of senior product design manager openings in Washington. Seattle drives volume through its dense cluster of consumer-technology, cloud, and startup-stage companies, while Bellevue and Redmond reflect the campus footprints of major enterprise and platform organizations that centralize design leadership close to their engineering and product headquarters.
Are there remote senior product design manager jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields. Senior product design manager work is conducted primarily through digital tools, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 100% of senior product design manager openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the technology sector's continued flexibility at this level. The portions of the role most commonly conducted remotely are design critiques, stakeholder reviews, and cross-functional roadmap sessions.
How can I get hired as a senior product design manager in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from an individual-contributor senior designer role into a lead or principal designer position at a Washington technology company before pursuing a formal management title. Large Seattle-area employers regularly recruit associate and mid-level product designers into rotational programs or structured growth tracks that develop management skills over time. Building experience managing an intern, a contract designer, or a small sub-team on a project is the credential Washington hiring managers look for first. A portfolio that documents not just design decisions but team influence and process improvement gives candidates a clear edge.
Where can I find and apply to senior product design manager jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to senior product design manager jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current Washington openings updated on an ongoing basis. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and preferred location, and apply directly.
