Position Summary:
The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for leading and scaling all quality assurance and quality control functions within a high-volume manufacturing environment. The primary responsibility of the Senior Quality Manager is to ensure clear, accurate, and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders, including the customer and suppliers. This role drives strategic quality initiatives, ensures compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, and partners cross-functionally to enhance process capability, reduce variation, and improve overall product quality. The Senior Quality Manager fosters a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and accountability across multiple production lines and/or sites.
Essential Functions:

Lead the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of the Quanta Manufacturing System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 and company standards across high-volume operations

Investigate and resolve critical customer quality issues, ensuring clear communication and final resolution

Provide strategic direction for incoming, in-process, and final inspection processes to ensure consistent product conformity at scale

Review and approve specifications for incoming raw materials and components

Partner with senior production, engineering, and operations leadership to drive systemic process improvements and reduce defects across multiple lines or facilities

Represent QMN during the customer meetings addressing and articulating the issues related to process, vendor, R&D and Customer

Communicate clearly the results of continuous improvement projects, concentrating on workmanship issues, damage (scrap) reduction, and improvement of overall yield and throughput of various manufacturing processes

Oversee complex root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented and sustained

Ensure that the different operating teams have adequate information to drive data-based decision making and problem resolution

Drive a culture of continuous improvement using methodologies like Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing

Analyze and interpret large-scale production quality data (scrap, rework, yield, cost of poor quality) to identify trends and drive data-driven decision-making

Lead internal audits and serve as the primary point of contact for external, customer, and certification audits

Establish governance over nonconforming material processes, ensuring consistent disposition and risk mitigation

Define, standardize, and monitor key enterprise-level quality metrics (FPY, DPPM, defect rates, customer returns, COPQ)

Provide leadership and oversight of supplier quality, including strategic supplier development, audits, and performance management

Establish, monitor, and report on key quality metrics (KPIs) to track product performance and identify areas for improvement

Oversee product testing and validation procedures to ensure products adhere to specifications before launch

Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to integrate quality standards into the entire product lifecycle, from design to manufacturing

Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing quality team, including managers, engineers, and technicians

Provide guidance on technical quality requirements, including interpreting manufacturing standards, blueprints and utilizing various measuring tools.

Drive a culture of quality ownership by training and influencing cross-functional teams on quality standards, expectations, and best practices

Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements across operations

Support new product introduction (NPI) and process transfers to ensure quality is built into design and production

All other duties as assigned by senior leadership
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, computer science, or related field; or equivalent education and experience
Minimum 7+ years of progressive quality experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in a leadership role
Strong experience with ISO 9001 and quality management systems in complex operations
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Other Skills and Abilities:
This is a FULLY ONSITE position; must be able to report onsite daily
Ability to lead in a multi-cultural environment with multiple languages spoken
Strong executive presence with excellent presentation and communication skills
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and suppliers
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Advanced organizational and project management skills
Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality/data analysis tools
Ability to operate independently and provide oversight across multiple locations
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
Physical Requirements:
Work is in a typical manufacturing environment; temperatures are controlled but may vary from standard office settings
Occasionally required to stand; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell
Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Ability to stand/sit for long periods
Ability to stoop/bend to look under, over, and around equipment
Ability to remain on cement floors for extended periods
Ability to travel occasionally, including internationally (less than 10%)
