Senior Quality Manager Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior quality manager in Tennessee?
Most senior quality manager roles in Tennessee require a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field combined with substantial quality leadership experience. Tennessee does not issue a state license for this role, but employers across automotive, aerospace, and healthcare manufacturing strongly favor candidates holding ASQ credentials such as the Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer. Building experience in Tennessee's dominant manufacturing sectors and earning ASQ certification is the most reliable path to senior-level hiring.
How much do senior quality managers make in Tennessee?
Senior quality managers in Tennessee earn a median of about $119,430 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $74,980 for the lowest 10% to over $198,520 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire senior quality managers in Tennessee?
Employers hiring senior quality managers in Tennessee right now include Jabil, Domtar, and Hilton, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Tennessee's deep automotive and aerospace manufacturing base means large anchor employers and their tier-one suppliers are consistently among the most active sources of senior quality manager openings across the state.
Which Tennessee cities have the most senior quality manager jobs?
Memphis, Nashville, and Oak Ridge have the most senior quality manager openings in Tennessee. Nashville leads because of its size and concentration of healthcare, logistics, and light manufacturing employers, while Chattanooga and its surrounding corridor generate strong demand through automotive assembly and supplier operations anchored by large industrial manufacturers in the region.
Are there remote senior quality manager jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, but they're rare. Senior quality manager work is largely hands-on, requiring physical presence on production floors, during supplier audits, and in cross-functional team settings. About 33% of senior quality manager openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and most of those are in quality systems, compliance, or supplier development roles where audit travel substitutes for a fixed on-site schedule.
How can I get hired as a senior quality manager in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a quality engineer or quality technician inside one of Tennessee's automotive or aerospace manufacturing plants, then advancing through quality assurance specialist and quality supervisor roles. Large Tennessee employers including automotive assembly operations and their tier-one suppliers regularly hire for associate quality roles that build the hands-on systems experience needed at the senior level. Earning an ASQ Certified Quality Technician or Certified Quality Engineer credential while working in these entry roles meaningfully accelerates the path to senior quality manager consideration.
Where can I find and apply to senior quality manager jobs in Tennessee?
You can find and apply to senior quality manager jobs in Tennessee on Migrate Mate, which lists current Tennessee openings updated regularly. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
