Service Advisor Jobs in Madison: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a service advisor job in Madison?
Madison's strongest hiring for service advisors comes from its dense cluster of franchised auto dealerships along East Washington Avenue and the Beltline corridor, plus independent shops and equipment dealers in the West Side and Middleton area. Candidates who know manufacturer service software and can demonstrate strong customer retention skills stand out here. Bilingual Spanish-English candidates also have an edge given Madison's growing customer base.
Which companies hire service advisors in Madison?
Employers hiring service advisors in Madison right now include Zimbrick, Marc's Garage, and Goodin Company, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Madison's hiring mix tends toward franchised dealerships, regional equipment dealers, and fleet service centers tied to the city's university and government sector vehicle operations.
Are there remote service advisor jobs in Madison?
Remote service advisor roles are rare by nature because most of the work involves direct customer intake, vehicle inspections, and on-site coordination with technicians. About 50% of service advisor openings tied to Madison are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions typically involve warranty administration, remote customer follow-up, or back-office service coordination rather than full shop-floor duties.
How can I get a service advisor job in Madison with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Madison is through a parts counter or lot attendant role at one of the dealership groups along East Washington Avenue or the Beltline, where managers regularly promote into service advisor seats. Madison College's automotive technology program also connects graduates directly with local dealers. Showing comfort with CRM software and a customer-first attitude matters more than tenure at the entry level here.
