Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Explain repair recommendations clearly, utilizing estimating software and automotive diagnostics tools to provide accurate estimates
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission repairs to maximize customer value
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Maintain detailed service writing records, including vehicle damage estimates using computer-aided estimating systems
- Communicate effectively with clients about repair progress, costs, and recommended maintenance plans
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage dealership service records with precision
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive service advisor or in a related dealership or auto service environment preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignment, suspension, tire service, collision repair,
- Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools is helpful
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in automotive repair sales is highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Mechanical experience or background as a service technician is a plus
