Job Summary: As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact between customers and the automotive repair shop. Your role involves managing customer service interactions, and facilitating the repair process from start to finish. You will ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in the shop while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Interaction:
• Greet customers promptly and professionally, both in person and on the phone.
• Listen to customer concerns and describe the nature of their vehicle issues.
• Provide clear explanations of repair recommendations and costs.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and follow-up communications.
• Service Management:
• Create and maintain detailed repair orders, including work requested, customer concerns, and services provided.
• Coordinate with technicians to obtain repair estimates and timelines.
• Ensure all necessary parts and labor are ordered and scheduled.
• Track the progress of each vehicle through the repair process and keep customers informed.
• Administrative Duties:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and repair orders.
• Process transactions, including billing and payments.
• Schedule appointments and manage the repair shop's daily workflow.
• Customer Satisfaction:
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any additional concerns.
• Implement customer feedback to improve service quality and shop operations.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all work is performed to the highest quality standards.
• Verify that repairs meet the expectations set with customers and are completed on time.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with technicians and other shop staff to ensure seamless communication and efficient operations.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss shop performance, customer feedback, and operational improvements.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience as an automotive service writer or in a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of automotive repair and maintenance processes.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering a positive experience.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency with computer systems and repair shop software.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications or training in automotive service writing or customer service are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced automotive repair shop.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
